How to Play ENfestation

ENfestation is a real-time social deduction game for 3–16 players. One or more players are secretly assigned Alien roles, while the rest are Crew. Your goal depends on your team — find the Alien, or stay hidden.

Step 1: Create or Join a Lobby

One player creates a lobby and receives a unique room code. Share the code with friends so they can join. Each player enters a callsign (display name) before joining.

Step 2: Configure Roles

The host selects which roles to include. Roles belong to three teams: Crew (Crew, Commander, Sentinel, Scanner, Seeker), Alien (Alien, Parasite), and Chaotic (Disruptor, Shifter, Warper). There are always more role cards than players — extra cards are placed face-down in the center.

Step 3: Role Reveal

Each player is secretly assigned one role. Learn your ability, your win condition, and your team alignment. Keep your identity hidden from other players.

Step 4: Orbit Phase — Use Your Ability

All players use their abilities simultaneously during the Orbit phase. The Alien can peek at a center card. The Scanner can view two center cards or one player's original role. The Seeker learns if a player is good or bad. The Sentinel sees all actions that affected a chosen player. The Commander activates a bonus vote. Chaotic roles like the Shifter can steal another player's role, while the Warper swaps two players' roles. The Disruptor blocks one player's ability entirely.

Step 5: Discussion Phase

After abilities resolve, a timed discussion begins. Players share information (or bluff), argue, and try to figure out who the Alien is. Trust no one completely — roles may have been swapped during the Orbit phase.

Step 6: Voting Phase

All players vote simultaneously on who to eliminate. The player with the most votes is removed from the game. In the case of a tie, no one is eliminated.

Step 7: Results

After voting, all roles are revealed. The Crew wins if the Alien is voted out. The Alien wins by surviving the vote. The Parasite wins by getting voted out. Chaotic roles win or lose based on the alignment they chose during the Orbit phase.

ENfestation Roles and Abilities

Crew Team

• Crew — No special ability. Win by voting out the Alien. Strength lies in numbers and teamwork.
• Commander — Activates an additional bonus vote during the Orbit phase. If blocked by the Disruptor, the bonus is lost.
• Sentinel — Observes all actions that affected one chosen player, in order. Knowledge is your greatest weapon.
• Scanner — Views two center cards or one player's original role. Cannot be blocked by any ability.
• Seeker — Learns whether a chosen player's alignment is good or bad.

Alien Team

• Alien — The hidden threat. Can view one center card. Wins by avoiding elimination during the vote.
• Parasite — Serves the Alien secretly. Can see who the Alien is, but the Alien cannot see the Parasite. Wins by getting voted out.

Chaotic Team

• Disruptor — Blocks one player's ability entirely. Chooses an alignment during the Orbit phase to determine their win condition.
• Shifter — Steals another player's role, replacing their own. Chooses an alignment to determine their win condition.
• Warper — Swaps two other players' roles without their knowledge. Chooses an alignment to determine their win condition.
